Ohio Bed Bug Experts offers an eco-friendly, non-toxic heat application that can be applied to specific areas or entire structures. Our process directs clean, dry heat into the infested area and slowly raises temperatures to levels lethal to bed bugs.
Temperatures of 120–140°F maintained for about an hour prove fatal even to the pesticide-resistant bed bugs that invade homes today. If you're looking for a way to kill bed bugs without exposing your family to dangerous chemicals — heat is the answer.
Applying high heat is more effective than chemical applications. Bed bugs are more resistant than ever to insecticides, meaning chemicals may not destroy every life stage in one round. Bed bugs cannot physically withstand the heat. While chemical treatments often take several rounds, residential spaces only require one heat treatment.
We use heating units, a special dehumidifier, and multiple fans to raise the temperature to 120–140°F and lower humidity below 20%. Maximum heat is then maintained with computerized temperature monitors to ensure evenly dispersed lethal temperatures throughout the area.
